Santacultura is located in Santa Cruz, Guanacaste—just 45 minutes from the Pacific coast and close to beautiful beaches like Tamarindo, Avellanas, Grande and Conchal. Our central location also puts you near the cultural town of Guaitil, known for its indigenous Chorotega pottery, and just a short drive from incredible national parks like Palo Verde and Barra Honda. We’re also close to the city of Nicoya and just over an hour from Liberia International Airport (LIR), making Santacultura the perfect base to explore the nature, beaches, and culture of Costa Rica’s Gold Coast."

Santa Cruz -Why It’s Special

  • Located in a BLUE  ZONE: one of the world’s rare Blue Zones, where people live longer, healthier lives. Surrounded by tradition, nature, and a strong sense of community, it’s the perfect place to reconnect with yourself, enjoy slow living, and experience the wellness rooted in local culture.

  • Cultural Hub: Known as the folkloric city of Costa Rica, Santa Cruz is famous for preserving traditional Guanacastecan culture — music, dance, gastronomy, and nature.

  • Fiestas Típicas: Held every January, these traditional festivals bring together colorful parades, cultural performance, rodeo activities, and marimba music.

  • Close to Nature: Near to several national parks like Palo Verde, Barra Honda and Las Baulas, perfect for hiking, birdwatching, and seeing nesting sea turtles.

  • Authentic Costa Rica: Compared to popular  beach towns like, Santa Cruz offers a more local and traditional vibe, great for cultural immersion.
